Parkersburg awarded $500,000 grant

$4.6 million dollars will be awarded to different communities in Iowa for infrastructure projects, and Parkersburg will be one of them. Per the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA,) Parkersburg, Iowa will receive $500,000 of this grant money for help in dealing with over 17,000 feet of pipe in the city’s sanitary sewer system.

“This has been a project goal for ten years now for us to begin work on,” said City Administrator Chris Luhring, “and it’s probably the most unglamorous project you could think of.”
