Newly elected Mayor Mike Timmer opened last Monday night’s stated meeting of the Parkersburg City Council with a moment of silence honoring long-time councilmember Bob Haylock, who passed away on Friday, Dec. 31.
Haylock demonstrated his devotion to the Parkersburg community by serving on the city council for 27 years, and as the city’s mayor for 8 years.
After paying their respects to the departed, the council turned its attention to matters of business.
